GST (General Sales Tax)

General Sales Tax (GST) is a tax charged on the supply of goods, and on services in some cases. Goods are taxed at the federal level, while services are generally taxed by the provincial revenue authorities.

Bidding documents state whether bid prices must include or exclude taxes. Read that instruction carefully, because a financial bid that treats tax the wrong way can be rejected or ranked incorrectly. TenderPK does not publish tax rates, which depend on the item and change over time.
